Onsite Network Technician

Hard@Work Computers, LLC is a Puyallup-based company seeking an Onsite Network Tech to join our technical team. The position would be based out of our Puyallup, Washington office acting as the primary point of contact for the end-user computing environment.

Primary Responsibilities

*Respond to Client calls regarding network, hardware and software problems, correcting those problems whenever possible and ensuring resolution to questions or problems.

*Perform hands-on repair of equipment and maintenance/installation of computing infrastructure.
*Perform Installation of new equipment.

*Proficiency in all the basic customer service duties with excellent phone skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks.

*Communicate with users and management regarding problem resolution status.

*Maintain and troubleshoot all hardware associated with end-user computing, including printers, PCs, hubs, print servers, etc.

*Build and install workstation PC’s.

*Accurately maintain help desk logs and resource inventories.

*Ability to work occasional evenings or weekend depending on Special circumstances.

* Clean driving record, valid driver’s license, own transportation, and proof current of insurance.

Ideal Qualification/Education/Skills

*3 years experience supporting users on Microsoft Network Operating Systems especially Small Business Server 2003.

*Familiarity with Windows 2000/2003 NOS, TCP/IP networking and server maintenance tasks (e.g creating user accounts, supporting network printers, assigning permissions to shares.)

*Experience in CAT5 network wiring, punchdown and testing.

* Experience with Sonicwall, Cisco, & Netgear Firewalls.

*Ability to lift 35-60 lbs, primarily computer equipment from floor to desk.

*Experience in both telephone and on-site support of Windows 2000/XP workstations and Microsoft Office applications.

*Problem solving/decision making skills including conflict resolution and first call resolution.

*Strong written and verbal communication skills.

*A+ Certification or Microsoft certification (MCSE, MCP); appropriate work experience may substitute.
